What is a hashtag?
A hashtag is a word or phrase that follows the “#” sign. A hashtag is used to tie various tweets together as a single topic. On Twitter, a hashtag can be clicked or searched and all posts that have used that hashtag will be shown. This is an easy way to connect with others and search topics of interest.
